A top official at the Texas Medical Board has stepped down after far-right state lawmakers launched a pressure campaign over his reported employment with a Planned Parenthood laboratory. Agency spokesperson Spencer Miller-Payne confirmed in an email that Medical Director Robert Bredt submitted his retirement paperwork on Jan.
