Slidell mayor Greg Cromer steps down for state job
Slidell mayor Greg Cromer is stepping down to serve in Gov. Jeff Landry’s administration.Cromer says he will be the Department of Transportation’s new legislative liaison starting Jan. 21.He says he will work closely with elected leaders across the state to promote DOTD projects.

The mayor of Slidell has officially stepped down and accepted a new position with Gov. Jeff Landry's administration. Greg Cromer confirmed he will be a legislative liaison with the Department of Transportation and Development. Cromer is expected to start his new position at the end of January. His last day as mayor will be Jan. 20.
