An 8,000-pound community Christmas tree was donated to add to downtown York's ambiance for the holidays. At around 7:15 a.m. on Nov. 14, crews started work on cutting down the tree and then transported it nearly 10 miles to Continental Square.

For the first time since 1959, this year's Rockefeller Center tree comes from Massachusetts - West Stockbridge, to be exact. It was a donation from Michael Albert and his family, who are residents of the town. As of this morning (Nov. 12), the tree was set into position, where it will soon be decorated for the holiday season.
