Person in custody after hourslong standoff at Boston home, police say
Boston police are responding to a person barricaded inside a home in Hyde Park. The incident is happening on Hopeqewll Road about a block from Osceola Street. Police have blocked off part of the road and are urging people to avoid the area in Hyde Park this morning.

Boston police are investigating the death of a man who was found shot in a parking lot Saturday night. Officers responded to 140 Main St. in Charlestown shortly after 10:30 p.m. for a report that a pedestrian had been hit by a car, police said in a press release.
