The National Border Patrol Museum is a bit rough in presentation, and the subject matter isn’t that scintillating, but it’s great for what it is and what it (doesn’t) cost. The museum is small but th… Full review by Brend482

The museum is small but has a wealth of information. Make sure to watch the video in the room next to the gift shop. The info about the dogs is especially interesting. Full review by Suzan B

I felt he review by ams44 was very unfair. It clearly states on its web-site that the Museum offers guided tours with advance notice. The young lady, whom they talked to, had only been working two weeks, and in that time she has done a great job learning about the history of the Border Patrol. However, there are docents available to give tours that have extensive knowledge of the museum and the history of the Patrol. But they are volunteers, thus need some advance notice so they can be available. The young lady answered any questions they might have, and she did this while doing additional duties. We're very proud of our Museum and the men and women who wear the green, come back and see us again ams44, and I hope your next visit is better.

I agree with DavidHam. The museum offers a lot to see and learn about the Border Patrol. I also think the review by ams44 was unfair. As I traveled through El Paso, I only had about an hour to visit the museum. I did not need a guided tour. If you take the few moments to read the information at each exhibit, you DO LEARN a lot. You also get a very good sense of US history. That's what I wanted. The private citizen who started the museum has a good beginning here. I hope some day soon, a major donor would step up to take this to the next level.
