When it isn't busy you might be able to park near the ship. When the cruise ships are docked, don't even try it. You will get stuck in cruise traffic. There is paid parking across the street from the aquarium (aquarium is in front of the ship). Or take the free trolley in. It stops on the street in front.

Depends on your level of interest. We spent around 40 minutes listening to one of the guides as he led us to different points of interest on the ship. You are not obligated to stay and listen to a guide if you'd rather not. You can just make your own way around the ship and look at what interests you. Then, we walked around on our own for another 30 minutes or so - looking at exhibits, walking the decks, and taking pictures. We are two adults with an interest in historical ships. If your party includes small children or people who don't share an interest in history, You might spend less time. But I'd plan on at least an hour.
