For birdwatching I highly recommend looking at this Wings Over Water website. Speaking to the park rangers one on one or the volunteers for any of these websites, would give you a better understanding of climate/bugs/ migration patterns etc. For unique camping experiences I recommend looking at this site. nps.gov/caha/planyourvisit/campgrounds (after the word campgrounds type .h t m , but the . and letters together). I can’t get it to work on this because of the format. The Coastal NC Refuges Gateway Visitor Center is a great resource, you can google it to website then go through the link. Hope this helps!

I'm not sure about November as winter is approaching the bears may be out for their last feedings. We've seen them in the early morning and around dusk are you best times to see bears. However, we have seen them in the afternoon but that was in the summer time.
