I have not been able to see the Galata tower from inside due to the queue a the entrance. If you have an Istanbul pass you might be able to skip the queue.Full review by LeSteveDujour

I think you don’t need to buy online, you can purchase it right in-front of the tower , anyway if you purchased online they just scan and activate it for you
