Great view from tower. To get to salt flat it’s a bit of a walk. Beautiful pink hue. Call to see if visitor center is actually open. Just because website says it is means nothing.Full review by Ken J

Can you actually go and stand in the sand or is it off limits..?

There is a tower were you can see the area. Also, they offer tours were you can go thru the "Salinas" (salt ponds)

I can’t answer with certainty but it is part of the Interpretative Center so it must have the same hours.

I was there after hurricane Nate. Some areas were accessible, others not.
